Reacting to One Star Reviews of My Favourite Classic Books

Hello booklovers,

My name is Alin and welcome to my Youtube channel. Today I am going to read one-star reviews of some of my favourite classic books. I chose five books for this video, so let’s do this.

Reacting to One Star Reviews of My Favourite Classic Books

1984 by George Orwell

The first book that I will start with is 1984 by George Orwell and this is a dystopian novel, it tells the story of a man, Winston Smith, who lives under a totalitarian regime and how he responds to all the restrictions imposed by Big Brother.

Odyssey by Homer

The next one-star reviews that we will read are about The Odyssey by Homer.  This book is about Odysseus journey back home to Ithaca to see his wife and son and all the challenges that he encounters along the way. After the Trojan War, Odysseus was punished by the gods to wander for 20 years before he can return home.

The Dialogues of Plato by Plato

Another favourite classic book is The Dialogues of Plato. It’s a collection of dialogues written by Plato in which Socrates is the main character most of the time and each dialogue deals with a different philosophical issue, like what does it mean to live a good life, what is beauty, what is love, what is good government and so on. So let’s look at some negative reviews.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

A classic book that I love to read on Christmas day is A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It tells the story of a mean, selfish and greedy man named Ebenezer Scrooge. He hates Christmas, his family and everything in general, but on Christmas Eve he is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas, and that’s when everything changes. Let’s read some one-star reviews.

The Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

And last but not least, we’re going to read one-star reviews about The Portrait of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. The novel is about Dorian Gray and this portrait of himself that he keeps in his home and how it changes his life.
